
UAE’s telecom authority denies rumours of worldwide web disruption on Oct 11

United Arab Emirates (UAE’s) Telecommunications and Digital Authorities Regulatory Authority (TDRA) has denied rumours a couple of “attainable worldwide web service interruption” on October 11 and termed the information ‘a hoax’.

There have been some rumours doing rounds on social media platforms claiming that the web could be suspended for a restricted time frame throughout the globe on October 11, to which the telecommunication authorities responded and denied the claims of handlers.
Different stories, that had gone viral, attributed the ‘October 11 outage’ to a photo voltaic storm.

Whereas taking to X, the authorities posted, “No disruption in web providers on Oct 11. We strongly encourage everybody to rely solely on our official channels for correct data to keep away from pointless fear.”
